Buddy Brown Releases New EP, Hurricane Stomp, On Feb. 26, 2016

(Nashville, Tenn. – Feb. 3, 2016) – Country music artist and popular YouTube personality, Buddy Brown, is gearing up to release a new EP, Hurricane Stomp, on Feb. 26, 2016. Produced by Dave Bechtel and recorded at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville, Hurricane Stomp is a 5-song collection that throws some punches and invites you into compelling story lines. The album will be available on iTunes and through digital retailers.

Brown comments on the forthcoming release saying, “By starting my music career on the internet and managing all my own pages, I’ve been able to connect with my fans and make more music that they want to hear. A lot of my fans tell me they don’t listen to mainstream country songs anymore, that the music doesn’t apply to their lives. Through talking with my fans and living my own life I’m making music that I’d want to hear, music that actually says something.”

Buddy has never been one to “play it safe.” At the age of 15, his parents kicked him out of the house and sent him to one of the most rigorous military schools in the U.S. – Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, VA. “It tested me to the limit mentally and physically and gave me that necessary endurance that music requires of me now.”

In 2009, Brown turned to YouTube where he started regularly posting videos showcasing his music, charm and humor. He quickly established a solid fan base on the social platform and was quickly discovered and recognized by USA Today, who noted him as being a YouTube sensation. He currently has over 225,000 followers on his Facebook, 46K subscribers on his YouTube channel and his videos have registered over 7 million in views.

According to Buddy Brown, “I wanted to make music that I want to hear while driving in my truck, songs that I can’t wait to listen to again. I’m just not hearing enough of those songs on the radio right now so I had to make my own.” He proudly calls himself the true outdoorsman and he gets most of his inspiration from being in the woods and the folklore that his heroes have passed down. Buddy isn’t afraid of who he is and what he believes in and that all comes across in his music.

Booked by CAA Nashville, Brown is a seasoned performer and has already opened up for popular acts, including Justin Moore, Jon Pardi and Brothers Osbourne on the College Town Throwdown tour. He’s also headlined several shows throughout the state of Texas. In addition, he has performed two shows surrounding NASCAR races at Talladega Speedway in front of over 20,000 people.

Hurricane Stomp marks Brown’s sixth EP release to iTunes. His previous release, Keepin’ It Country, debuted at #12 on the iTunes Country Chart in 2014.

Fans can purchase the EP Hurricane Stomp on iTunes starting Feb. 26. For more information on Buddy Brown, visit his official website at www.buddybrowncountry.com, and follow him on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Click here to subscribe to Buddy Brown’s YouTube channel.

About Tucker Beathard: At just 21 years old, singer-songwriter Tucker Beathard already exudes the confidence and swagger of an established artist. It’s probably because music is in his blood. He started playing drums and guitar in a band with his brothers at 10 years old and had an early immersion into songwriting via his dad, two-time BMI “Songwriter of the Year” Casey Beathard. It was Tucker’s rebellious attitude as a teenager that inspired the lyrics for the chart-topping hit “Homeboy” recorded by Eric Church. Not long after making the decision to forgo a baseball scholarship to focus on music, Beathard signed a publishing deal with Big Machine Music and a recording contract with Big Machine Label Group. Now he is beginning to carve a path for his own unique and unapologetic sound: Tucker recently released his first single “Rock On” on iTunes.  Beathard is working on his debut album and will head out on the road with Dierks Bentley this summer, including shows in The UK and Ireland for the first time, having already opened for superstars Eric Church, Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban.

How Radio Can Keep Winning The “Ear Wars”

“Fear Of Missing Out” Is Key In Edison Research 2016 Presentation

(Nashville, Tenn. – Feb. 2, 2016) With so much competition from other forms of audio, radio’s top competitive advantage is its urgency. Broadcasters have a unique ability to capitalize on their listeners’ “fear of missing out.”

That’s the lead finding of “Ear Wars,” Edison Research’s 2016 Country radio research presentation, set to be unveiled Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. at Country Radio Seminar in Nashville by Edison’s Larry Rosin and Megan Lazovick. The survey answers key questions for broadcasters in 2016 such as “why radio” and “what matters”?

Continuing Edison’s tradition of presenting major surveys for country radio at CRS, the researchers surveyed more than 1,500 listeners and conducted one-on-one interviews of listeners and broadcasters in three markets. Legendary stations whose listeners and staffers are spotlighted in this year’s presentation are WXTU Philadelphia, WIVK Knoxville, and WTHI (Hi 99) Terre Haute, Ind.

The survey begins with the finding that even users of other types of audio, such as Internet-only radio and Sirius XM, still enthusiastically listen to radio, specifically as a way of staying connected. But that’s only a starting point.

“This presentation will walk programmers through every element of their programming day with an eye toward instilling ‘Fear of Missing Out’ into everything they do, from music to air talent content to other engagement, community involvement, and even your marketing,” says Edison President Larry Rosin.

“Without a doubt, our 2016 presentation will be the one most loaded with things that broadcasters can take back to their market,” says Rosin. “Programmers should make sure they don’t miss out as well.”

#MeetMeMonday – Sydney Lotz

Getting To Know Aristo PR’s Sydney Lotz

image

Sydney Lotz
Publicity Intern
sydney@aristomedia.com

Q: Where is your hometown? And why did you decide to come to Nashville?
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas! I came to Nashville two years ago when I transferred from The University of Oklahoma to Belmont University. I have always had a passion and love for the entertainment business, so I took the leap and moved to Nashville where I’m majoring in Entertainment Industry Studies and minoring in Marketing!

Q: What is one interesting fact about you?
I am a HUGE fan of the San Antonio Spurs! I grew up going to all the games with my family and made so many great memories. This year, I told myself I’m going to drive to Atlanta or Memphis and buy nosebleed seats to a game!

Q: What is your favorite Nashville eatery?
You can never go wrong with any of the M Street restaurants. Also, I strongly believe ice cream should be a food group– I love Jeni’s!!

Q: What is your favorite music venue? (Anywhere)
I love Austin 360 Amphitheater in Texas. It’s part of The Circus of the Americas complex and it’s right next door to the racetrack. In Nashville, I love seeing shows at the Ryman Auditorium because you can never get a bad seat!

Q: If you could only pick one, what would be your all-time favorite song?
I don’t like this question… I have so many!! But I think I am going to go with “Sunday Morning” by Maroon 5.

Q: What are some of your hobbies?
I love to bake! I love going on Pinterest and trying to recreate the recipes, but they usually end up looking really ugly and nothing like the pictures. But they taste good!

Q: What is your favorite thing to do in Nashville on the weekend?
I love going to concerts and shows on the weekends or any chance I get. I also love going shopping, going to see movies and going to brunch with my friends!

Q: If you could have any super power, what would it be?
Teleportation. Every time I travel, I always think how life could be so much easier if teleportation was real.

Q: What do you consider your greatest achievement?
I believe my greatest achievement would be moving to Nashville to follow my dream of working in the music/entertainment business. I am so close to my family, so it was really hard for me to pick up and move to Nashville where I didn’t know anybody.

Q: What is something interesting that is on your bucket list?
My sister and I are working on a coffee table book! We are hoping to finish it and have it in stores by the end of 2016.

Q: What is one type of food that you could not live without?
Ice Cream!!! I went through serious withdrawals and heartache when Blue Bell had to shut down due to the whole listeria issue.

Q: What actor would you want to play you in the movie of your life? Why?
Either Selena Gomez or Leighton Meester. I love Selena, but I get told quite often (surprisingly) that I look like Leighton Meester (which is something I never get tired of hearing). I also love Leslie Mann and think she is so funny, but we look nothing alike!!

Q: If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
I would want to go back home to San Antonio or Los Angeles. It’s getting quite cold in Nashville, so going somewhere sunny sounds so good right now! I also have family in LA that I haven’t seen in so long, so it would be nice if I had a chance to see them!

Q: How would your friends describe you?
I think/hope that my friends would describe me as loyal, passionate and loving. They would probably also mention my love for the Jonas Brothers, One Direction and Disney stars!

Q: What TV or movie series are you obsessed with right now?
“Grey’s Anatomy” and “Scandal.” Shonda Rhimes is a genius who drives me crazy with the emotional roller coaster ride she takes me on with all of her crazy plot twists and storylines.

Q: What did you ‘want to be when you grew up’ as a kid?
When I was little, my dream was to be a pop star! Truthfully, it still is, but my singing ability says otherwise. For now, as long as I am surrounded by music and live events, I am more than happy! I’ll just stick to being a master at karaoke.

Q: If time or money weren’t an issue, what would you be doing right now?
I would love to travel around Europe and Australia and experience their culture. I am fascinated with England and Ireland (and their accents).

Q: What are the top five albums that have shaped your life?
Jonas Brothers – Jonas Brothers: This album came out when I was in the sixth grade and started my obsession with boy bands. It was my first concert! When I was 13, my mom drove my sisters and I to Dallas to see their concert and meet them and it meant so much to me that she would drive us there. At the concert, she ended up buying herself a “lawn” ticket and sitting at the very back against the fence and read a book.
Fearless – Taylor Swift: I think all of Taylor’s albums have shaped my life. The first time I saw her live was on her Fearless tour at the San Antonio Rodeo and I remember it like it was yesterday!
X – Ed Sheeran: Ed Sheeran is an amazing singer/songwriter and musician. This is my go-to album when I am stressed out and tired.
The Reckoning – NeedToBreathe: This album was on repeat constantly when I was in high school. I love how they incorporated Christian values and messages into their songs.
1989 – Taylor Swift: Everything about this album makes me so happy! It always makes me dance!

Q: A television show you can’t miss, but hate to admit you watch:
My sister recently talked me into watching “The Bachelor” with her and I’m not happy that I watched it because now I’m hooked. It makes me cringe at how uncomfortable some of the awkward moments make me, but I can’t look away.

Q: If you could spend the day with any person (living or deceased), who would it be?
I would love to spend a day with Harry Styles. He is so well known around the world, but seems so humble. He’s also not hard to look at all day!

Q: What is your life goal?
At the end of the day, I just want to be healthy, happy and proud of whatever I end up doing.

Q: What is your favorite joke?
Knock Knock
Who’s there?
A cow goes…
A cow goes who?
No, silly! A cow goes MOO!!

Daily necessities in your desk drawer, pocket, or purse:
I’m obsessed with this lip-gloss– I always have to have it on me. It’s also a great chapstick.

Untitled

Take a photo of your favorite coffee mug and explain:
I love coffee and I love to drink it out of these mugs from Anthropologie. I have a blue one with an “S” on it as well. They are the perfect size for my small hands and are so lightweight!

(Nashville, Tenn. – Jan. 29, 2016) – Country artist Dianna Corcoran has officially released her much-anticipated album, In America, on January 29, 2016. The album is available for download on iTunes, Amazon and other major digital retailers.

In America, self- produced by Corcoran and recorded at Nashville’s Ocean Way, Warner and Fool on the Hill Studios, is a 12-track collection of songs that brings the best of Australia’s country flavor stateside.

Infusing pop into her Country, Corcoran contributes a unique sound and feel to the genre with her impressive songwriting and agile vocals. From the upbeat fun of “God Did Good” to the subdued, angelic vocals of “A Better Me,” there’s a song for every Country fan.

In America is a collection of true stories,” commented Corcoran. “It’s all real, from the first note to the last raw guitar strum. I hope that by sharing honesty through my music, I’ll have the chance to connect with people across the world.”

Leadoff single “God Did Good” hit radio in August and is available for download on iTunes and Amazon. The upbeat love song features Corcoran’s clever songwriting skills and vocal prowess. With its catchy hook and infectious melody, “God Did Good” sings the praises of Corcoran’s love interest and how “God did good” when he made him. The video, which took the No. 1 spot on Taste of Country’s Top 10 video countdown for two straight weeks, can be viewed here.

An Australia native, Corcoran is no stranger to success in the Country format. With numerous awards to her name, including two Australian Country Music Association Golden Guitar Awards, Corcoran has proven her talents in Australia and across the globe.

Working extensively in the songwriting community throughout Stockholm, London, Germany, Australia, and the U.S., it was only a matter of time before Corcoran took the leap and brought her Country stardom to America.

Now that Corcoran is here, America and Country music are much better off for it. Country stars better watch out, because it’s Corcoran’s time to shine.

Lineup Announced For Grand Ole Opry At CRS 2016

Trace Adkins, Ashley Campbell, Easton Corbin, Chris Janson, Tracy Lawrence, Maddie & Tae, Martina McBride and David Nail among list of performers

(Nashville, Tenn. – January 29, 2016) – The lineup has been announced for this year’s Grand Ole Opry at Country Radio Seminar (CRS), which will be held on the kick-off night (Feb. 8) of the three-day event at Omni Nashville.

The star-studded lineup includes Trace Adkins, Ashley Campbell, Easton Corbin, Chris Janson, Tracy Lawrence, Maddie & Tae, Martina McBride and David Nail. The show will begin at 7 p.m., immediately following the annual CRS Welcome Reception. All CRS registrants can attend, with both seating and standing room available. The Grand Ole Opry at CRS 2016 is sponsored by Disabled American Veterans.

Since 2012, Country music’s most famous show has made its mark on CRS and brought star-studded shows to standing room only crowds. With the Opry’s signature barn backdrop and famous microphone stands on stage, the Omni Hotel’s Broadway Ballroom will be transformed into the CRS Performance Hall to give audience members a real taste of the Opry and the Grand Ole Opry House in the middle of CRS.

The Opry, radio’s longest-running program, has rarely staged shows outside its regular program schedule and its permanent home (the Grand Ole Opry House) or its winter residence (Ryman Auditorium). Past Opry performances played outside the show’s home venues include performances staged at prestigious theaters such as New York City’s Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
