The Cains Release New Original Holiday Track, “Merry Christmas To You”

(Nashville, Tenn. – Nov. 16, 2015) – In spirit of the holiday, The Cains have released a new seasonal song, titled “Merry Christmas To You.” The original, thoughtful ballad, which was written by Billy Lawson and Ed Hill, as well as produced by Billy Lawson, is about missing a loved one during the holiday season.

Madison Cain commented, “When you think of Christmas songs, you think of joy, family and everything merry and bright. But for so many people, Christmas isn’t perfect. Relationships have been severed and the most wonderful time of the year often brings its own sting. We hope this song encourages people to reach out, make the call they’ve been putting off, or write a letter—it’s never too late to say ‘I love you.’”

The song is already available at digital outlets such as iTunes and Amazon, and will be distributed to Country radio.

The talented siblings have had a busy year with the release of their self-titled EP, which includes the lead single “Journeys End;” a sentimental ballad about love, family and hope that is currently airing on Country radio and spent over four months on Sirius XM’s The Highway playlist. The EP was written by The Cains – Madison, Logan and Taylor Cain – and also features other writer credits including Jaida DreyerStephony SmithBilly LawsonEd HillBecki Devries and Dave Thompson. The Cains was produced/mixed by Daniel Agee and is now available on iTunesAmazon and other major digital retailers.

In addition to the EP, The Cains have been touring the U.S. and the U.K. In March 2015, The Cains broke onto the U.K. Country music scene with their first international appearance at London’s Country to Country (C2C) festival, Europe’s largest and most well-attended Country music event of the year, and have since returned as the opening act for Sasha McVeigh’s I Stand Alone U.K. tour, opening on select dates that took them to London, Glasgow, Oxford, Manchester and more.

Amber Hayes Releases Cover of Holiday Classic, “Merry Christmas, Darling”

(Nashville, Tenn. – Nov. 11, 2015) – Country artist Amber Hayes has released her own version of the classic holiday track, “Merry Christmas, Darling.”

Originally recorded by The Carpenters in 1970, “Merry Christmas, Darling” was written by Richard Carpenter and Frank Pooler. The classic song tells a story about going through the holidays without your special someone and dreaming of spending the festive season with them, wherever they are.

Hayes recruited Nashville-based producer Charlie Kelley for helping bring her version to life. Hayes’ sultry vocal accompanied by a classic Country sound sets the Christmas mood and allows the listener to feel the holiday spirit.

“’Merry Christmas, Darling’ has been one of those Christmas songs that I’ve enjoyed performing live throughout the years,” commented Hayes. “I’m a big fan of Karen Carpenter’s voice and the song—it has always been a staple in my Christmas playlist! I hope that fans will enjoy my version and listen to it this upcoming holiday season.”

The song is now available on iTunes, Amazon and other major digital retailers.
“Merry Christmas, Darling” follows the release of Hayes’ song, “Hero’s Heart.” Hayes released the track in honor of her uncle, Command Sergeant Major Bennie G. Adkins, who was awarded the Medal of Honor in 2014. Hayes was in attendance at the White House with her uncle when he was presented with the award, which is the United States of America’s highest military honor. In addition, she released a new EP, Running Out of Memories late last year.

For more information about Amber Hayes, visit her website at www.AmberHayesMusic.com and follow her on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Edison Research Presents Results Of Country Radio Study At CRS 2016

(Nashville, Tenn. – Nov. 10, 2015) Edison Research will once again present findings of an extensive research study during Country Radio Seminar 2016 on Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. at the Omni Hotel in downtown Nashville, Tenn. Edison’s Larry Rosin and Megan Lazovick will present the study, “What Makes Country Radio Matter?”

Country radio remains the choice of millions of American listeners — even in our world of rapidly growing choices. How can Country radio distinguish itself by being relevant?

What do radio listeners want to hear when your talent cracks the mic?  Is it live?  Is it local? Is it community service? Is it continuous music?

When listeners choose between all of the delivery systems available today, including broadcast radio, streaming services, subscription models, and all the other technologies available: what motivates the decision? Are we their companion by choice, by curation, by convenience, or by default?

This year’s study will answer these questions. As always, Edison’s cameras are there when consumers make their decisions, and their national survey quantifies what listeners want today.

“At a time when there are more delivery systems available for content, this study truly breaks ground in determining the consumers’ primary content desires and especially why they choose radio for that specific content delivery daily across America” said Edison President Larry Rosin.

The new study is the latest in a series of acclaimed Edison/CRS research presentations. Edison surveyed more than 1,500 listeners about their content preferences and conducted dozens of one-on-one interviews in three different markets.

“From my perspective, this year’s study will drill down on what matters between the songs; what content is most relevant to Country listeners.  There will be many takeaways to help guide programmers and marketers,” said Joel Raab, CRS Research Committee Chair.

Country Radio Seminar will be held Monday, February 8, 2016 through Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the luxurious Omni Nashville, in the heart of downtown Nashville. Register to attend Country Radio Seminar today by visiting www.CountryRadioSeminar.com or by calling the CRS offices at 615-327-4487.

In America, self- produced by Corcoran and recorded at Nashville’s Ocean Way, Warner and Fool on the Hill Studios, is a 12-track collection of songs that brings the best of Australia’s country flavor stateside.

Infusing pop into Country, Corcoran contributes a unique sound and feel to the genre with her impressive songwriting and agile vocals. From the upbeat fun of “God Did Good” to the subdued, angelic vocals of “A Better Me,” there’s a song for every Country fan.

In America is a collection of true stories,” commented Corcoran. “It’s all real, from the first note to the last raw guitar strum. I hope that by sharing honesty through my music, I’ll have the chance to connect with people across the world.”

Leadoff single “God Did Good” hit radio in August and is available for download on iTunes and Amazon. The upbeat love song features Corcoran’s clever songwriting skills and vocal prowess. With its catchy hook and infectious melody, “God Did Good” sings the praises of Corcoran’s love interest and how ‘God did good’ when he made him. The video, which recently took the No. 1 spot on Taste of Country’s Top 10 video countdown, can be viewed here.

An Australia native, Corcoran is no stranger to success in the Country format. With numerous awards to her name, including two Australian Country Music Association Golden Guitar Awards, Corcoran has proven her talents in Australia and across the globe.

Working extensively in the songwriting community throughout Stockholm, London, Germany, Australia, and the U.S., it was only a matter of time before Corcoran took the leap and brought her Country stardom to America.
