New Country Faith Volume 2 Scheduled For November 18 Release

Latest in Series Includes Distribution Through Word Entertainment and Curb Records Plus a National TV Campaign with Time Life Music and an Exclusive Cracker Barrel Release

The latest in the hit Country Faith music series, Country Faith Volume 2, will release on November 18 to Christian retail through Word Entertainment, and to mainstream retail and digital outlets through Curb Records.

Based on the popular book Country Faith, penned by award-winning author/journalist Deborah Evans Price, the new music project will feature faith-based country songs by Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, George Strait, Brooks and Dunn, Wynonna, Wade Hayes, LeAnn Rimes and other bestselling Country artists.

“I’m so excited about this collection of songs on Country Faith Volume 2,” says Evans Price. “The album opens with ‘Pray About Everything,’ Luke Bryan’s upbeat celebration of the power of prayer, and the project continues with such compelling songs of faith as Brad Paisley’s ‘When I Get Where I’m Going,’ Wade Hayes’ ‘What’s a Broken Heart for You,’ Brooks & Dunn’s ‘Believe,’ and many others.   Country artists/songwriters have a unique perspective on faith and God’s grace, and I think listeners will find a great deal of comfort and inspiration in these powerful songs.”

Rod Riley, President & CEO, Word Entertainment, shares, “The opportunity for Word Entertainment to be part of curating a beautiful collection of songs from some of the biggest and most legendary artists in country music, alongside the passionate brilliance and direction of Deborah Evans Price, results in something that I know is going to positively impact countless lives.”

In addition, Time Life Music will feature the Country Faith book in a national TV campaign in January for its new Faith, Hope and Country package featuring Bill Cody as host.

Cracker Barrel, the family restaurant chain, will feature an exclusive Country Faith Volume 2 in all of its 630 locations. In addition to the 13 songs featured on the standard release, the special Cracker Barrel edition of Country Faith Volume 2 will feature two exclusive tracks—American Young’s “God Sends a Train” and Mo Pitney’s “Give Me Jesus.”

Travis Tritt To Release A Man And His Guitar – Live From The Franklin Theatre

2-DISC CD SET AND DVD TO BE RELEASED NOV. 18

(October 24, 2016 – Nashville, Tenn.) – Multi-award winning artist and country music hit-maker Travis Tritt will release a special live 2-disc CD and DVD, titled A Man and His Guitar – Live From The Franklin Theatre, ‪on Nov. 18. The much-anticipated release, shot and recorded at the historic Franklin Theatre in Franklin, Tenn., spotlights Tritt’s distinctively soulful voice and his exceptional guitar prowess in an intimate theater setting.

The project features Tritt at his best; performing an unplugged solo concert that gives fans the rare opportunity to hear a fresh take on some of Tritt’s biggest hits, including “Help Me Hold On,” “Anymore,” and “Best of Intentions,” in a stripped down, pure form. Previously unreleased renditions of “Come And Go Blues” and “Pickin’ At It” are also included in the program.

Tritt’s discovery that an audience loved to hear him perform songs accompanied only by his guitar served as the inspiration behind the project. In this concert, Tritt acknowledges and pays tribute to artists he grew up admiring and those that were influential to him as he punctuates the release with personal stories and anecdotes from his long career. Select acoustic numbers and humorous moments between Tritt and his guests, Marty Stuart and James Otto, are also highlighted.

More than 25-years after he launched his music career, the Southern-rock influenced artist continues to stay true and relevant to Country music fans across the globe. Last year, Tritt’s compilation album, The Very Best of ‪Travis Tritt, continued a trend that started in 2014 by topping the SoundScan Top 200 Catalog Country Albums chart for 50 consecutive weeks with 15 weeks spent at No. 1 and 33 weeks notched in the Top Five.

Over the course of his career, Tritt has produced over 25 million in album sales, two Grammy award wins and multiple No. 1 singles on the country radio charts, including “Help Me Hold On,” “Can I Trust You With My Heart” and “Foolish Pride.” Tritt was dubbed one of “The Class of ‘89,” which included country music superstars Garth Brooks, ‪Clint Black and ‪Alan Jackson, all whom dominated the charts in the 1990s and beyond. Among his eleven studio albums and numerous charted singles are nineteen Top 10 hits including “Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde,” “Here’s A Quarter” and “It’s A Great Day To Be Alive.”

The 2-disc CD set, A Man and His Guitar – Live From The Franklin Theatre, will be available for purchase through major digital retailers, TravisTritt.com and at various stops throughout Tritt’s tour. The DVD will only be available at TravisTritt.com and on tour. For a list of forthcoming tour stops, please visit www.TravisTritt.com.

bs-3k-newHi-Res Download Link – Here

Buddy Brown’s independently released album, I Call BS on That, debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Top Country Albums chart.

Released without a record label and entirely fan driven, this is almost unprecedented. Even more impressive that Brown wrote every song himself.

“I wanted to put the truth of things we say at campfires in a song,” said Brown. “Basically I said to myself, I’m gonna give a voice to the thoughts of all these people out there thinking the same thing. And just as I hoped, there’s a hell of a lot of people who think just like me.” “I Call BS on That” was exposed acoustically via Facebook video which acquired over a million views in 48 hours.

Brown went on tour with Justin Moore and Jon Pardi last year which proved to be a perfect fit with all three artists firm on where they stand within the culture of country music.

I Call BS on That Track Listing:

1          I Call BS on That                   (Buddy Brown)
2          Junior                                     (Buddy Brown)
3          Down in New Orleans         (Buddy Brown)
4          Are You Still Gone               (Buddy Brown)
5          With Only You                      (Buddy Brown)
6          Bounty Hunter                     (Buddy Brown)

In 2009, the Mississippi native, currently residing in Florida, started releasing his videos and music on YouTube. Brown’s talent quickly gained attention, resulting in over 257,000 social media followers, 49K subscribers on his YouTube channel and his videos have registered over 7 million in views.

CRS Featured Speaker Revealed – Toby Keith: My Way At CRS 2017

Discussion to reveal Toby’s unique approach in developing his career and serving his audience

tobykeith_outdoorfence_0968_v_finalw

Toby Keith will appear as a featured speaker at Country Radio Seminar 2017.  Sponsored by BMIToby Keith: My Way at CRS 2017 will take place Friday, Feb. 24 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. CT.

The discussion will explore Keith’s career, what inspired him to take control of his recorded and live music, form his own label and build a business empire on his terms. Keith will also talk about his strong relationship with men and women of the military, and his dedication to charitable initiatives. Leading the discussion will be RJ Curtis and Beverlee Brannigan.

The appearance marks Keith’s return to the seminar since being recognized with CRB’s Artist Humanitarian Award in 2007; the same year he was the headline artist on Country Radio Seminar’s Music City Jam.

The familiar maxim of the triple threat – singer, songwriter, musician – doesn’t begin to cover it for Toby Keith, one of the modern era’s most complete self-directed hit makers. And Keith’s most recent several months are a remarkably accurate representation of his entire career. He wrote, produced and released his latest single “A Few More Cowboys” to Billboard Hot Shot Debut status and the song is continuing to round up some amens and good-calls on its way up the charts. The release heralds new music following the successful and acclaimed 2015 album 35 mph Town. Toby continues to fill venues coast-to-coast on his current Interstates & Tailgates Tour presented by Ford F-Series. National television performances include kicking off the 2015 season of PBS’ Soundstage, and paying tribute to Merle Haggard on the April, 2016 FOX telecast of the American Country Countdown Awards as well as to Glen Campbell and songwriter Jimmy Webb on the September, 2016 CBS telecast of ACM Honors. Even closer to his heart was last year’s performance on TBS’ Neighborhood Sessions and being recognized with the Atlantic Council’s Distinguished Leadership Award for “remarkable musical contributions and support for US troops around the world.” Capping it all is this year’s Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic which raised another $1.175 million to aid sick children and their families in Oklahoma.

From the moment Toby’s debut single “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” shot up the charts to become his first No. 1, the engine driving everything else has been the music. He writes it. He arranges and produces it. And he releases it on his own record label, Show Dog Nashville. At the core is his songwriting, as recognized in his 2015 induction into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in New York City. The Nashville Songwriters Association International named him Songwriter/Artist of the Decade and he is a three-time BMI Country Songwriter/Artist of the Year. His songs have received more than 87 million BMI performances on commercial radio stations worldwide. Keith’s albums have sold more than 40 million copies. His tours have drawn more than a million fans each year for more than a decade straight, with recent expansion into Europe and Australia. The awards are too numerous to count and include Artist of the Decade nods from Billboard and the American Country Awards, as well as the ACM’s Career Achievement honor.

A musician’s musician, he was a last minute illness stand-in for the late Merle Haggard a few years back and responded to Merle’s query about which of the legend’s songs Keith knew and could cover with, “All of ’em.” And there have been some unexpected highlights along the way as well, including country’s most impactful viral event ever, “Red Solo Cup,” the video for which has received more than 30 million views and was named ACM Video of the Year. Toby’s most rewarding experiences, however, have come from giving back locally, nationally and abroad. His golf classics fund the Toby Keith Foundation and OK Kids Korral, a cost-free home for families of children dealing with critical illnesses. His 11 USO Tours to date have been recognized with the Spirit of the USO Award (2014). And when a tornado ravaged his hometown, Toby Keith was the face of the community and helped shoulder the cleanup with the 2013 OK Twister Relief Concert. Triple threat? How about singer, songwriter, musician, producer, entertainer, humanitarian, Oklahoman and patriot. For starters.

Country Radio Seminar will be held Wednesday, February 22 through Friday, February 24 at the luxurious Omni Nashville, in the heart of downtown Nashville.  Register to attend CRS 2017 today by visiting www.CountryRadioSeminar.com or by calling the CRS offices at 615-327-4487.  Registration is now available at the “Early Bird” rate of $529.   Register today, prior to the “early bird” registration rate deadline, and save $100.

Billy Ray Cyrus Makes Surprise Appearance at Station Inn

Billy Ray Cyrus made a surprise appearance last night (Sept. 28) with Johnny Cash’s band, Rufnex, at Station Inn in Nashville, Tenn.

Cyrus joined the band for an intimate, captivating set opening with Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues” followed by bluegrass jams, and a tribute to George Jones with a rendition of “He Stopped Loving Her Today”.

“[I’m] up way past my bed time, but it was worth it! What a jam! Truly an honor,” Cyrus said.

Cyrus recently released his 14th studio album Thin Line, featuring Joe Perry, Shooter Jennings and his children on select tracks, earlier this month. The title track’s music video debuted worldwide last week on Vevo.com and is currently airing on CMT.

“Thin Line” was shot entirely on Cyrus’ expansive property in Middle Tenn. by director Blake Judd(Black Stone Cherry, Shooter Jennings, Thomas Rhett) and exposes faith, passion, and the power of music through Cyrus’ perspective. The music video offers viewers a peek into Cyrus’ southern home as he wanders through the spaces that flood with memories and the prized possessions in which inspire him—including a handwritten note from Johnny Cash in 1992.

Cyrus shares his creative process in behind-the-scenes footage here. Thin Line is now available at major digital retailers, including iTunes and Amazon.

“I’m so excited about this song,” said Rae. “It has the perfect combination of vulnerability and sass. So many people can relate to this situation—I know I can! It is a privilege to be the one singing it out there to the world.”

Prior to moving to Nashville, Tenn., Rae spent three years in Vancouver, BC, Canada where she took to live performance and further enhancment of her songwriting before returning to the states in 2012 to fully pursue a solo career as a country music artist. Since, she has opened for notable acts like The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, David Cook, Maddie and Tae, and more.

“I feel like I have been put on this earth to help people and the most influential way for me to do so is through my music,” said Rae.  “I like to write about things that people are afraid to speak aloud; I like to use my music to empower people.”

Originally from Mount Vernon, Ky., Rae has been sharing her talent with all whom would listen since the age of three. At 12, Rae began to craft her own songs and was a member of the Kentucky All-State choir. She went on to complete her musical education at University of the Cumberlands and taught choir before focusing on her own artistry.

Ty Herndon Set To Release Much Anticipated New Album, “House On Fire” Nov. 11

Distributed exclusively by BFD through Sony/RED Distribution

ty_houseonfire_coverart

Country recording artist Ty Herndon has signed with BFD through Sony/RED Distribution, and will release his much-anticipated, full-length album House On Fire on Nov. 11, with pre-order starting Oct 14. The signing marks Herndon’s return to the Sony family, where he made his chart-topping debut in the mid-90s.

Dewayne Brown of Sony/RED Nashville states, “We are very excited to be working with Ty again.  As soon as I heard this amazing project I couldn’t wait to share it with the world.”

Herndon’s 20-year career has resulted in an impressive string of hits, which includes four number 1’s (“What Mattered Most,” “Living in a Moment,” “It Must Be Love,” “Loved Too Much”), as well as numerous top 10 hits, including “I Want My Goodbye Back,” “Loved Too Much,” “A Man Holding On (To a Woman Letting Go),” and “Hands of a Working Man.” With 20 Billboard charted singles to his credit, numerous industry awards, and more than 5 million albums sold, Ty Herndon’s journey is reaching new heights with the release of his forthcoming album.

House On Fire is a collection of 12 new contemporary songs, co-produced by Herndon and Erik Halbig, with Drew Davis joining as co-producer on six of the songs.  Track by track, Herndon has made some of the most engaging, meaningful and fulfilling music of his career.  Featuring Herndon’s powerful trademark vocals, the new album is already receiving critical accolades from the Nashville music community and showcases a deeper, greater strength from a man who has been there and back and has lived to tell about it. House on Fire is the next evolution of Ty Herndon.

Herndon discussed House On Fire, stating “This album is 18-months in the making. The writing was intense at times, but we had a lot of fun throughout the process! This album is Ty Herndon to the very core of my heart and it is without a doubt the most honest and vulnerable album I’ve ever done. It is an album about heart and soul, with songs that everyone can relate to. My hope is that anyone who hears these songs will catch a small piece of his or her life through the music and my story.”

Bob Frank of BFD commented, “House on Fire is one of the best albums I’ve heard in the last 10 years.  Ty has demonstrated once again that he is one of the best male vocalists in the format.” Chuck Rhodes of BFD/Nashville added, “I have been a Ty Herndon fan since ‘What Mattered Most.’  When I first heard this new project, I was reminded that he is still making great music. The hardest decision we would have in this process is trying to figure out what song to lead with!”

Herndon recently debuted songs from the album to enthusiastic fans in London as a headliner act for the Nashville Meets London festival, an appearance that led to international radio airplay and expansive media coverage.

Billy Ray Cyrus Releases 14th Studio Album Thin Line; Available Now On iTunes and Amazon

Country singer-songwriter and entertainer Billy Ray Cyrus has released his 14th studio album, Thin Line, through Blue Cadillac Music.  Thin Line is now available at major digital retailers, including iTunes and Amazon. Thin Line is what Cyrus describes as, “How I live my life; it’s a balance between art and reality,” and thought it was the appropriate title as it summarizes the album content.

“This project was going to be a tribute album to my favorite songwriters and artists,” said Cyrus, hence the amount of classic Highwayman ballads. “But it transformed into more than that.”

The much anticipated full-length album consists of 15 tracks and features collaborations with talent like Joe Perry on the Don Williams classic “Tulsa Time,” harmonies from Shelby Lynne as well as Shooter Jennings as a producer and performer on tracks “Killing the Blues” and on his father’s “I’ve Always Been Crazy.”

Cyrus’ children are also present on the project; Braison Cyrus in honor of the late Merle Haggard with “Going Where the Lonely Go” and Miley Cyrus who close out the album with a musical prayer.

A music video for the album’s title track and current single, “Thin Line,” featuring Cyrus’ Middle Tennessee property was recently shot and is soon to premiere this month. Fans can explore behind-the-scenes footage of the video shoot with director Blake Judd here.

Along with the album release, Cyrus will appear tonight with a special performance on the Grand Ole Opry stage to welcome a portion of the 700+ Marines who’ve travelled to Music City for Marine Week. A rendition of Cyrus’ hit “Some Gave All” will include Marine Corp. Staff Sergeant Mark Plummer who is an advocate for those who suffer from PTSD.

Simultaneously, CMT has announced that Cyrus’ hit comedy series, “Still The King,” has been added to the network for a second season to launch this spring. Cyrus stars as “Burnin’” Vernon Brown, a one-hit-wonder country artist who emerges decades later as an Elvis impersonator. After a drunken accident into a church sign, Brown is sentenced to perform community service for the church as part of his parole. He pretends to be the congregation’s new minister in attempt to reconnect with a former one-night-stand (Joey Lauren Adams), when he learns he has a 15-year-old daughter (Madison Iseman) he’s never met.
