VP of Radio Marketing
Born and raised in Nashville, TN, Rick Kelly serves as The AristoMedia Group’s VP of Radio Marketing. Kelly is a graduate of Father Ryan High School and a 1988 graduate of MTSU with a Recording Industry major. Kelly knew that he wanted to work in the music industry after college and got his start working in independent promotion during the early 1990s. Following that venture, Kelly worked with RCA Records and the Almo Sounds record label. Kelly then began with AristoMedia in 2000, taking over the Radio department.
As VP of Radio Marketing, Kelly oversees the operations of both Marco Promotions and Marco Club Connection. Kelly played a large part in the development and formation of Marco Club Connection, feeling that club promotion was a “vastly underserved niche.” On a day-to-day basis, Kelly calls Music Row and Billboard Indicator Stations in order to promote records, and he also oversees the team’s venue marketing activities. With a Recording Industry major along with work experience at two record labels, Kelly has brought a passion for radio promotion that has helped to strengthen the department and diversify AristoMedia’s services.
In his free time, Kelly enjoys cycling, gardening, running, and collecting guitars. He is a big fan of the Tennessee Titans and is also a tri-athlete. Kelly enjoys all kinds of music, but his all-time favorite musicians include The Beatles, Elvis Costello, Richard Thompson, and Willie Nelson.
Since joining The AristoMedia Group 15 years ago, Kelly’s leadership within the radio and club promotion divisions has instilled a sense of passion in the rest of the team, a similar passion to the one Kelly had when looking to develop the club promotion division in the first place.
