SIXTEEN INTERNATIONAL COUNTRY ARTISTS APPEAR AT 2010 GLOBAL EVENTS
Five countries represented at June 7-8 showcases in downtown Nashville
(Nashville, TN – June 16, 2010) Sixteen international Country artists from five different countries performed at the annual Global Events showcases during CMA Music Festival week this year in downtown Nashville, Tenn.
“More than ever, Nashville needed the support of Country music fans from around the world, and that's exactly what Music City got this year,” said David Bradley, who performed the closing set at the CMA Global Artist Party. “Both of the Global Events showcases were packed with industry and fans, and I was thrilled to hear that this was one of the most highly attended CMA Music Fests ever. Thanks to everyone who showed their support for this wonderful city and Country music from around the globe. Nashville is alive and well and open for business!”
The annual AristoMedia Global Showcase, hosted by Australian duo O’Shea, was held June 8 at The Second Fiddle. This year’s performers included Travis Collins (Australia), Emma King & The Heartsets (UK), The European Highwaymen (Norway), Jessie Farrell (Canada), Jo Hikk (Canada), Steven Lee Olsen (Canada), Ronnie Rae Rivers (Australia) and Joe Robinson (Australia).
“This year was our most successful turnout yet at our Global Events
showcases,” said AristoMedia Group President Jeff Walker. “I believe
that this year’s lineup was probably the most diverse and talented group
we’ve ever had, and the crowds were very receptive to these
international artists. Canada and Australia already have a history of
delivering successful Country acts, so it’s encouraging to see places
like Norway and the UK producing good quality Country music, too.”
Previous performers at the annual Global Events showcases have
included: George Canyon, Troy Cassar-Daley, the McClymonts, Jasmine Rae,
Johnny Reid, the Road Hammers and Doc Walker, among others.
